Jai Prakash University, Chapra:

The JP university established in 1990. This university is inaugurated by the Chief minister of Bihar Sri Lalu Pradas Yadav. JP university is the member of the Association of Indian Universities. The university names come after the honorable freedom fighter Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan. All the degree courses are affiliated by the University grant Commission. The institute was established on 22nd Nov 1990 under the Bihar State Universities Act, 1976 with its Head Quarters at Chapra. There are altogether 21 constitute Colleges.
